Catalina and Antonia are on their way to Atiak, a small village in the North of Uganda. In neighbouring Southern Sudan the war is raging and a dry climate prevents a rich harvest. In the midst of these unfavorable circumstances, two American midwives had built a birth house to offer women from the surrounding area the possibility of an assisted birth. Every year, volunteers from all over the world gather there to work together and exchange experiences. Also Catalina and Antonia had spent a year in Atiak. The director accompanies the women on their journey to a relentless place.
